London Friday 23rd Jan 2009 We spent a wonderful evening with cousin Taryn and partner Mark. Thanks for everything guys - look forward to catching up in march? this year - you made us very welcome. And then off to see the sights of London before flying out to Hong Kong that night.

At Marshall and Rachel's - what an awesone time. Marshall directing affairs here with his extensive knowledge on completing our very first WASGIJ - Jigsaw backwards - the picture is a guide to the puzzle - i think the puzzle is in response to what happens in the picture, or something like that...Rachel and I managed 3 pieces.

Heading south from Largs in scotland, we crossed the border and headed towards York.

Did our rellies once travel to or from this part of the world....?

We spent the night with these Irish folk...Harriet and Cyril, Harriet's mum and Alexandria (and Naomi - at school). We had an awesome time and left at the crack of 11am, after 'good crack' as they would say in Ireland!!

Alex and Betty - we love you so much!! It was wonderful after 15 years to finally catch up again - you haven't changed a bit and we really enjoyed your company, just as much as we did so long ago. thank you for making us so welcome - please come and visit us if you ever get the chance!!!


We had dinner thursday Night in Munich, SE Germany, with Hubert and Julie and family - wonderful company and great to catch up with kids close to our boys age at last !!

Lego Land!!! 4 hours drive from last night...but closed... too bad had an interesting experience with the porta loo - stroy for another day- now off to Zurich where we board the plane to London, then Scotland...Aberdeen!!



Wed nt 14th Jan - we spent the night in a beautiful old walled town of Riquewihr, in the Alsace region of France.

After parking outside an expanisve paddock, in the beautiful moonlight, and waking up next morning to find out it was a graveyard..... we headed south through Germany down the moselle valley - discovered the moselle River was frozen and needed an Ice Breaker Ship to clear it - boys were in awe.

Then headed south to an Open Locht Museum (Open Air) where old buildings from all over the Holland were brought to this one area and restored to their original condition.



Monday 12th January 2009



Annaleise, a very dear friend we met up with in WIJK BIJ DUUSTEDE, the centre of the Netherlands, had Monday off work, so lo and behold she had organised skates for the entire family and off we troop through a beautiful forest to a fair dinkum frozen lake in the middle of the forest...and here we all skated and it was a real treat - particularly as the lake started melting (under the speed of our skates...?)
